Lesson Highlights

  • Moses' humility when he prayed
  • The story of Chanah's prayer
  • Everything that happens is for elevating and transforming our lives
  • The Shema Israel: "He and His Name are One"
  • Loving God: Making the Light of the Creator a part of our essence
  • Loving without judgment

Lesson Description

Karen Berg shares from the story of Va'etchanan and reveals how the kabbalistic tools discussed in this portion - the 10 Utterances, the Shema Israel connection, Tefilin, and the mezuza - all show us how know God.  How can we know and love an invisibile force?  By internalizing the Light and making it our essence through loving ourself, loving other people and fulfilling our purpose in this world.

About This Course

One of the major spiritual connections kabbalists make on the Sabbath is the reading of a weekly Bible portion. These consciousness lectures present lessons on each week's portion to elevate our consciousness and create awareness of the spiritual energy and gifts that are available through the reading of a Torah Scroll. With greater awareness and an awakened consciousness, we can connect to the Light revealed each week and use it as support in our ongoing spiritual work.
