The month of Capricorn offers us so many opportunities. Capricorn is the fourth month to roll out since Rosh Hashanah, making it the first earth sign since the kabbalistic New Year began. This stable earth energy is so needed these days. And Capricorn is definitely the one to offer us strength and grounding. Capricorns are known to be of the more practical, ambitious, realistic, and consistent Zodiac signs. There is an opportunity for all of us to connect with this energy this month.
“This month, our goal will be to push ourselves outside of limitations…”
Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn, which acts as the gatekeeper between the upper worlds (spiritual dimension) and our physical reality. In astrology, we look at ten celestial bodies: seven are connected to be our 1% reality (sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and lastly, Saturn), and three are considered to be a higher octave of the lower world, which is our spiritual, 99% reality (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto). As Saturn is right in between these two realities, it also represents limits, structure, and boundaries. Our spiritual goal each month is to learn how to rise above the more challenging influences of the sign and the planet. And in this month, our goal will be to push ourselves outside of limitations and illusions of physical reality so we can pursue projects and personal goals regardless of how challenging things seem to be. Our task is to learn to rise above the heavy and sometimes too serious nature of this month. Lighten up!
Let’s take a look at some cosmic shifts ahead and think about how to best utilize them in the best, most spiritual way possible.
As the month begins, the planet Mercury is in Capricorn and turning retrograde. At the same time, it also forms a positive aspect with Jupiter (also in retrograde) in Taurus. This is a great time for internal work and planning. When two planets are in retrograde and form a positive aspect in an earth sign, we know that it’s a great time for planning! Specifically, focus on looking back and identifying where in your work and career you gave too much power to stress or became overly concerned with how other people might see you. If we are stressed over not achieving as much as we would like, it’s a good time to look back and understand why and maybe revisit our goals.
It’s also a good time to take a look at the balance between your work and personal life and see if it requires you to make any changes there, as well. Since Jupiter is part of this picture, it can lead us to greater success and open the doors for many opportunities. This will be a good time to be more aware of what opportunities are presented to us and have a good plan of attack.
On December 19th, the planet Mars ends its cycle in the sign of Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius, which also creates some positive aspects until the end of December (with Chiron and the North Node in Aries). This transit can also work in our favor if we decide to take action, rise up to the challenge, or take a leap of faith in doing something out of our nature. The movement to Sagittarius and the connection with the planets in Aries signal us to be brave and, if needed, take the path we’ve been waiting to pursue for a long time. It’s a refreshing energy of beginnings that can provide a boost of confidence and self-esteem. All of this is happening at the same time the sun enters into Capricorn (December 22nd) and forms a good aspect with Saturn in Pisces. Again, Saturn and Capricorn have a good influence and inject more confidence. It’s reassurance that hard work and perseverance will help us get the job done!
“This month is our time to make things happen!”
As we approach the Gregorian New Year, Venus enters Sagittarius and forms a challenging aspect to Saturn (in Pisces). This alignment can possibly lead us to misunderstandings. Be especially careful with your loved ones or your boss or any other authority figure. Remember that words have power, and stay away from any judgment or feeling of superiority.
Remember: this month is our time to make things happen! With humility, persistence, and trust in the Lightforce of the Creator, we can do anything!
