Originally from Israel, Smadar was introduced to the Kabbalah Centre in Philadelphia by a friend in 1999. She felt a pull toward the teachings she heard there and soon began studying consistently, getting more and more involved in the Centre until, in 2013, she became a teacher. This made perfect sense to her, as she holds an MA in Education and had previously worked as an Educational Director at a school in Israel.
As a teacher, Smadar works to get all of her students participating in discussions, as she sees their questions and thoughts making the class deeper and more meaningful. She enjoys teaching a variety of topics and is particularly fond of helping students understand their Tikkune, or purpose in life. Having grown up in a kibbutz, Smadar feels that Kabbalah offers a similar intention of making the world a better place – but Kabbalah offers real, accessible tools to actually do it. She believes in the potential of humanity to be kind and supportive and strives every day to help others become the best version of themselves.
Smadar lives in Tel Aviv, Israel with her husband. She is currently teaching beginning and advanced classes and is helping to create content for the kabbalistic curriculum in Hebrew.
