Healing for a World in Chaos

In these difficult times, we all want to help. We all want to make the suffering of others go away. We all want to right what is wrong. But unfortunately, not all of us can do this—at least not directly.

So what can we do?

First off, we can remember that consciousness is everything and that our thoughts and actions have ramifications far beyond what we can see with our eyes. So even if we are halfway across the world from a physical battlefield, we can still send our prayers and love to those places in need of this positivity, with the certainty that our efforts do make a difference even if we don’t see it right away.

We can also remember that even though we may not be in the midst of the physical fighting, we are, as members of the human race, a part of the eternal battle of consciousness. Every day, each of us fights our own battle with our Desire to Receive for the Self Alone—with that voice of our ego that tells us to be angry, selfish, anxious, judgmental, and fearful; with that force that causes us to treat others with less than human dignity.

But if we can work on fighting this battle and if we can do our spiritual work with awareness, love, and steadfastness, then we will know that we are making a difference on the large scale.
