The sun moves into the sign of Libra as it begins the new year cycle in opposition to Jupiter in Aries. Two giants opposing each other is a call for balance.
The sun in Libra rules diplomacy, peace, sacrifice, and relationships. Jupiter in Aries rules desire to receive, goals, and other wants. According to kabbalistic wisdom, there should be a balance between both of these currents. In his book Kabbalistic Astrology, Rav Berg explains the need to unite both of these energies when the Aries-Libra axis is in play.
We can temper Aries energy with Libra energy. For example:
As we approach the New Year, we can embrace both sides of the scale of energy—on one side, sharing in relationships, and on the other, a strong sense of self-confidence.
Avoid going to extremes, such as sacrificing your wellness and desires for the sake of obligation or getting lost in your own desire to receive for yourself alone.
