The week of Noach always comes at the beginning of the month of Scorpio. The story of Noach teaches us about the accumulation of negativity. The actions of the people in the world shifted the balance of the universe and brought on a natural disaster—a flood that washed away the planet.

Why was it a flood and not something else? We know that Scorpio is a water sign, and the internal energy of Scorpio is fire; therefore, think of it as boiling water. Water is the strongest element in nature. It brings life, but it can also destroy it, which we witness all over the world.

One of the messages of this week is about taking responsibility for our actions. No matter where or how we live, we are part of a puzzle. Our actions do not affect only us but the people around us and even the rest of the world, no matter how hard we try to hide.

We opened the week just a few hours after the first solar eclipse of the kabbalistic year. The Zohar teaches that solar eclipses are good for people who are on a spiritual path because the moon is the protector of Earth. It represents our subconscious and through this cosmic event, we can connect to who we are on the inside.

We are in the New Moon of Scorpio. The moon is just finishing its journey in Libra, and the sun will be in Libra for a few more days. The first day of the month of Scorpio can be perceived as the most important day of the year. (Aren’t they all?!) Some believe this because the day functions as a link between the Light we revealed during the month of Libra and the rest of the year. This ensures that the meditations and understandings we achieved during the New Year become practical and useful for the year to come.

With Mercury, the sun, and the moon together in Libra, we desire fairness and balance. Our job is to separate our feelings and thoughts from who we are. On Sunday, the moon moves to Scorpio, and things are getting deep. Mars, the ruler of war, just entered Scorpio. It is strong here and revengeful.

From the outside, all appears quiet; but from the inside, there are storms and much turbulence. If someone hurts us, we may feel compelled to equalize the situation and take revenge. As Kabbalah teaches, those types of actions awaken more judgment. Sometimes, depending on the situation, it is better to think of it as a learning process instead of trying to hurt someone in return.

Be cautious about how you communicate with others. Intensity is not always a good thing. A conjunction between the moon and Mars can bring us to deep understandings and good insights.

In the birth chart of the week, Saturn is retrograde in Pisces. Mars and Saturn are the only planets in the water element. Neither of them are easy planets here, so put some good thoughts into the water you drink. Pray or meditate to connect with the positive aspects of the water element. Use the 72 Name of God number 61 to purify water.

Sunday, the moon is in opposition to Jupiter retrograde in Taurus. Take things in proportion, especially if it is about money or power. Things might come to the surface. Notice them, welcome them, and know that it is all part of the process. This will bring blessings and fulfillment into our lives.

On Monday, the moon is in opposition to Uranus in Taurus. This means emotional ups and downs. Do some breathing exercises to balance the nervous system.

Tuesday through Thursday, the moon is in Sagittarius, square to Venus in Virgo. See the divine in the mundane. God is in the details and in the imperfections. Because our process is perfect, everything is exactly what we need. This aspect is great for the imagination and helps manifest what we’ve dreamed of.

On Friday, the moon in Capricorn, with five planets in earth, is great for manifestation. Be careful not to get too focused on earthly matters. This can bring heaviness and depression. Our reality is an expression of our souls.
