To close up the busy month of May, we have the New Moon of Gemini. New Moons represent new beginnings. Of course, every time the moon rises in the sky, we have a chance to start something new. However, the zodiac sign that begins on the New Moon gives us a clue about what kind of energy we will be working with in the coming month.
This New Moon is in Gemini, the third sign of the zodiac. Gemini is the sign of duality. The Gemini glyph is represented by the Roman numeral two, signifying the sign’s dual nature. Geminis are known for their ability to change in a flash. One personality is present one minute, only to be taken over by another the next. To the outside world, they seem as though they have a split personality. The lesson Geminis can teach us is one of embracing duality, learning to work with the two energies inside of you. Let them co-exist; allow them to both investigate and discover the world so you can build on the experience of each and grow.
Gemini is a mutable air sign, meaning it is “flexible.” Air flows with the mind. Gemini types live in their heads, flitting from one thought to another. They are, in fact, so flexible that it’s hard for them to focus—keeping their attention on just one thing can seem like torment. The Gemini in us likes to multitask. Just concentrate.
