Happy New Year to all! Welcome to 2021.

As we begin a new chapter in the Torah called Shemot, we also begin a new cycle—2021! Shemot is translated as "Names" in reference to the Names of God, which are very powerful spiritual tools.

We begin the New Year with strong leadership energy as the moon is placed in Leo for the year to come, and the sun is in Capricorn. However, the opposition of Saturn in Aquarius towards the moon will ensure that we learn to lead through inspiration and not coercion this year. The old system of authority is waning like never before with a lot of Aquarius energy in the cosmos.

It is no wonder that this week’s portion speaks about the birth of Moses, who led the people out of slavery. And did he force them or use coercive power? The truth is, he taught them the Names of God. This is why the book is called Shemot or Names. He taught them how to tap into the Light. As people saw wonders and miracles, they marveled, "Wow, how great is the Light of the Creator!" This inspiration motivated them to keep going, even after moments of doubt.

This is one of the many messages for the year to come; we will be encouraged to grow our connections through kabbalistic tools, so we can ignite miracles and make sure people around us can say, "Wow, this is amazing," inspiring them to connect more deeply in a chain reaction of inspiration.
