As we approach the New Moon of Aquarius, we can already feel a shift in the energy of the month. In the past few years, we've experienced an awakening in the field of spirituality. This will continue this year because of the passage of Neptune through Pisces. Though subtle, Neptune in Pisces undoubtedly pushes everyone to a spiritual renaissance. Consider the current explosion of interest in astrology, and especially in spirituality. This period of time will go down in history alongside other spectacular periods of spiritual awakening, which also coincided with Neptune's historical passages through Pisces. It is important that we not let go of hope or connection with the Light. We need certainty now more than ever. Keep compassion and the heart open.
This week's portion of Va'era is connected to water (Pisces and Neptune). What is the reading of the week? It is a strange story, yet Rav Berg taught that it is one of the most important ones. The portion describes the plague of the water. According to the ancient sages, all the water in the world, not only of Egypt, turned into blood. There was no water to drink. This isn't hard to imagine as today, little by little, our waters are becoming polluted. What does the Torah tell us? What did the Israelites do? The Zohar explains that the Israelites had the power to convert this unfit water into drinking water. How did they do it? Mind over matter; they took control of their physical reality.
The Ana Beko'ach is another tool that helps us with mind over matter. And millions of people recite this prayer today. The effect of Neptune in Pisces is that there is a collective transformation and realization that there is something above the one percent of the physical world. The power of the portion of Va'era is that we can tap into this energy. Mind over matter.
As it is also the week that Mercury goes direct, communication and ideas become clearer, and we'll find ease in following through with our goals. This is the week to awaken our true potential and power. Also, as the sun enters Aquarius on January 20th, happy birthday to all the Aquarians! This is a very special Aquarius season. For the first time in years, Saturn in Aquarius is no longer square Uranus. Things that have been stuck for years will finally start to move again. And happy New Moon of Aquarius on the 21st and 22nd!
