This year, Shabbat HaGadol (The Big Shabbat) coincided with the portion of Tzav and was also the 10th Day of Nisan, the day that Rav Ashlag's teacher left the world. This shabbat is the seed level of the energy that is revealed on Passover and it is this week that all of the Lights of all of the shabbats come together to assist us. This year we have the additional support of Rav Ashlag's teacher as we plant the seed for the removal of chaos from our lives and the world on Passover.
When we get our energy from outside ourselves – money, respect, fame, relationships – we’re being nourished in a limited way. This week’s energy helps us to see and remove these tendencies. What’s the one thing you feel you cannot live without? Strive towards giving it up this week, in order to realize that the Light you seek from these things or people is actually within you.
