  • Ten levels of enlightenment, ten layers of negativity and ten plagues
  • Battling our negativity with relentless, continuous commitment

  • Yehuda Berg’s analogy of the king and his son
  • Letting go of our addictions and distractions in order to find the real treasure of our soul

  • Steps to internalize and awaken a relentless desire
  • Step one:  remembering the good others have done for us
  • Step two:  rushing towards positive action like the plague of frogs
  • Not loving ourselves leads to laziness which causes us to forget the urgency of our need for change
  • Step three: exposing our negativity to others helps to loosen its power
  • Keeping the pain that prompted us to change fresh in our minds.
  • Asking the Light for help on a daily basis
  • Gaining the clarity to see what we need to change
  • Making serious change

Lesson Description

Va’era provides a fresh recognition that the gateway to change is marked by an understanding of the pain of bondage that presses us to find a path toward freedom. With the help of the lessons of this portion and our willingness for serious self-examination, Eitan re-awakens that gateway, so our consciousness can embark with greater confidence toward a brighter future.
