Gemini is the astrological sign that is known for its duality. This duality manifests in different ways; one may simultaneously have the desire to engage with others and the desire for introversion, or one may be great at dating, but fearful of committing to relationships. This month is ruled by the Hebrew letters Resh and Zayin (secret), which reveal the secret of balance and connect from the level of limitation to the level of the unlimited.
The 3rd sign of the zodiac, Gemini is in the air family and represents the central column of the 3-column system, signifying balance. Kabbalah teaches us that our challenge for this month is to find balance between the things that we love and the things that we hate. As we strive for balance, we may see ourselves sharing more and receiving less or talking less and listening more. Indeed, Geminis love to talk – sometimes they don’t even care if someone is really listening. If they stop talking and start listening (which is not easy for them), they can connect to the balance of the central column and draw Light into their lives.
At the New Moon, when the planet Venus (love, money) forms a disharmonious aspect to Pluto (control and transformation), we will feel the duality between many aspects of life. However, we have the option to stay open and not try to control how we receive what we want – love will be given to me in the way I need to receive it.
