As Rav Berg explains in his book, Days of Power, a righteous person is someone who successfully controls body consciousness with soul consciousness, someone who manages to completely neutralize the body’s desire to receive for the self alone. In this lesson, we are reminded of the immense gift we have of tapping into the legacy of Rav Shimon Bar Yochai in Lag Ba'Omer, to receive the assistance we all need to move forward in our spiritual work.
Kabbalah teaches that we can keep our connection to the souls of the righteous, even after they depart from physical reality. In this lecture, we learn about the gifts and legacy of the author of the Zohar, Rav Shimon Bar Yochai, who chose the 33rd day of the Omer to depart from this physical world.
