Lighten Up
When the Sun is in Taurus, we receive many opportunities to balance our life and slow things down. We are able to plan and think well before taking any action. Since Taurus is an earth sign, and we currently have many planets in the earth sign Capricorn, a feeling of heaviness could become a bit overwhelming. Mars is in Gemini these days and it can be just the antidote we need. It will allow us to move a bit faster, welcome changes, and engage ourselves with physical activities that will serve to uplift our moods. Try playing a favorite sport, exercising, going to a comedy show, dancing with friends, or go on a hike. Engage in anything that will help lighten heavy and stagnant energy. Positive consciousness will also help. Thinking of others and how we can help them releases us from only thinking about our own troubles. Sharing will activate the Light and lightness within.

Pulling Out the Weeds
Today, Saturn turns retrograde until mid-September 2019. This allows for another opportunity to reevaluate and make changes. Saturn is a plane that is encouraging us to act more responsibly with our resources. When Saturn is in a favorable position, there is great financial potential, the ability to grow our careers, and the potential to move forward in our life’s direction. When Saturn turns retrograde, those are all the elements of life that we need to reevaluate. When it comes to our resources it can be a time that we need to learn to consolidate and weed out the non-essentials. It is a time to make sure that our resources are invested in the right places and make the needed changes before Saturn will turn direct again. Saturn turning direct will allow us to move forward to our next level. Now is the time to clean up. This is a time when we should stick to the wisdom that “less is more” and see how it applies to our resources. Our truest needs in life are not the things money can buy us, but the joy and happiness that come from making people a part of our lives.

Releasing Your Need for Approval
With today’s aspect between Mars and Saturn, some challenges may be on the horizon. The first challenge could be a consuming desire to compete, win, and be number one. The desire to grow and progress in life is positive on its own. But when we start comparing ourselves to others, this is when it becomes tricky. We are all unique and gifted in our own special way. We are all meant to reveal and achieve our soul’s purpose in our own individual timing and manner. Comparing ourselves to others, wanting to be like them, feeling we can do the job better, and being overly competitive should not be our motivation in life. Today, we should all pay attention not to fall into the trap of over-competitiveness. The second challenge to watch is in seeking other people’s approval before moving forward. It is good to listen to others and seek advice. But at the end of the day, we need to listen to ourselves. We need to focus on what we deeply feel and what we want inside. Our inner voice can only be followed when we are quiet enough to hear it.

Today’s cosmic square between Mercury and Pluto can challenge all of us in being too controlling and falling into trying to change others. Sometimes we feel that we know the best and we wish to help. We think we are so sure in exactly what others should do. With today’s challenging aspect, we have to pay attention that we are not becoming too harsh, blunt, and insensitive, especially when it comes to helping others. We have to find the inspiring and more motivating approach if we wish to help someone. If you feel today that it is difficult for you to balance this energy and not be overly controlling, wait a day.
