We are now in full-blown Aries, and as it happens, a brand new energy cycle has just begun: Omer time, as it’s called in Aramaic. It’s that time of the year again! Although many dread this time period, it’s actually designed to help us rebuild a stronger desire.

In a nutshell, from the “wholly day” of Pesach until the beginning of lunar Gemini (49 days), we are busy reconstructing ourselves. The Omer period confirms the great order that exists in the universe. We literally count every single day, and each time we draw a different Light into our lives.
Let’s take a closer look at the planets this week!
The chart’s rising is in intense Scorpio. It will give us a little spunk and a great push forward. As we know, our lovely Scorpio friends are, to say the least, rather unexpected! Surprisingly, this week’s chart is very earthy, with a total of six planets—many of them in Capricorn. Capricorn energy is often synonymous with expectations and demands. Hmmm… In addition, the sun has already entered the next sign, and is now in grounded Taurus.
Well, well. This feels a lot heavier than the previous weeks! The Aries “electricity” has grounded itself, and all of a sudden we are feeling a bit stuck and cranky. What on Earth is the cosmos trying to tell us?
One of the greatest lessons right now is the realization that we take many things in our lives way too hard! Sometimes we get angry and cactus-like over very small and really unimportant things: a package that is delayed, a red light that takes forever to turn green, a slow driver in front of us, a long wait at the supermarket, things we stumble upon, etc. Imagine all these small things happening during the month of Aries, under Martial influence! We are really fuming!

Why do we allow our opponent to control us on such insignificant things? Will it change our lives to wait one or two minutes at the store? Of course not! Actually, who knows? It might even save it!
This week, the good news is we can download a more efficient software to help us become calmer (earth) and much more philosophical about all the small annoyances of daily life. Boy, do we need that help!
Kabbalists explain that all the small and infuriating delays in our lives are designed to help us cleanse negative thoughts and behaviors. So, truly WE are the winners in these annoying situations! This week, let’s get ready to overcome these daily challenges.
Another interesting feature is that many planets are in retrograde motion this week: Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto are all situated in two quite similar and difficult signs—Scorpio and Capricorn. Retrograde motion literally sends us back in a time machine to uproot stubborn beliefs deeply engrained in our psyche!
Great opportunities present themselves for us to undo negative behaviors, and we do not want to miss it! Let’s hurry up, before the lunar month of Taurus appears and we can still benefit from the primal Aries fire and make these changes.
