Astrology Forecast for October 20-26, 2013

Hi everyone! This week we are in one of the highlights of the year! Here comes an amazing breath of oxygen in the sea of water and floods we've been experiencing so far!

The kabbalists of all times, including our beloved teachers, Rav and Karen Berg, have spoken extensively about this week's portion and energy and have attached it to the famous idea of immortality.

Let's examine some facts.

Right now, planet Saturn is in the intense sign of Scorpio and will remain there for another year and a half.

First of all, a few words on planet Saturn…It is said that this is the planet of restriction, of order, of boundaries—a kind of a cosmic IRS. Therefore, astrologers have always looked at Saturn with a bit of a chill in their spine. Medieval astrologers once associated the coming of plagues with certain saturnine aspects. Oh dear.

There are some really interesting historical facts, which have occurred under the influence of Saturn in Scorpio. First, the discovery of dynamite and the creation of fire weapons (the first revolver) have both occurred under this influence. Why? Well, the sign of Scorpio has to do with war. It’s charged with a very strong, Martial energy since it is ruled by Mars, the red planet itself. People born under Scorpio signs are fighters, survivors, and Saturn takes the energy of the sign it is associated with.

Second, historically speaking, weak and wobbly establishments have always been destroyed when Saturn enters Scorpio. What is weak, or not well done, or plainly unfair will have a lot of challenges with this position, even to the point of not existing anymore.

Third, and most importantly for today, women’s power in the world has always risen when Saturn was in Scorpio. Scorpio also has a lot to do with women, since it is a female sign. Amazing reforms for the rights of women—female voting rights, first women to do anything—always started or were established with this position of Saturn.

Guys let's face it, without a strong woman in your lives, whether it be your mother, your sister, your wife, or your auntie, who would we all be today? And where would we be? In other words, "cherchez la femme!"

As Karen Berg always says: behind a great man, there is always a great woman. Why? Kabbalistically speaking, women symbolize the energy of manifestation, revelation of Light, natural sharing. Hence the importance they are given in spirituality.

We learn from our teacher Karen: if you want to know the degree of development of a country, look at the status given to women in that country. Many of the third world's establishments place women in the kitchen and that’s exactly how the country looks: great omelets, but a big lack of development and progress!

So what's the idea of this week's energy?

It's all about revealing the female side of ourselves, the sharing side. All of our souls are made of both female and male energies. If we tap into that side we can be more sharing, more attentive, and better involved in lending a hand to others.

We also mentioned earlier that the power of this portion has to do with immortality. By immortality, we mean continuity, happenings, and the continuation of energy. This week, we want to reflect on a very important point: what are we doing every day that will continue after we are long gone?

The answer is very clear: it's all the positive words and actions, no matter how small, that we engage in every day that create positive energy for others. This week is the time to multiply them, because we know they will last forever.
