Q: Where will meals take place? Will the group be together?
A: Meals will take place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. We will be together as one group.
Q: What is the cancellation and refund policy?
A: Full refund, less a $100 cancelation fee, until Monday, March 1, 2010. No refund after that date.
Q: Is there a specific date that I need to register by?
A: Please note that Rosh Hashanah sold out last year a month and half before the event. It’s important to register early to ensure space is available. In addition, there is limited lodging space, so the sooner you register the better.
Q: How many participants are you expecting?
A: We are expecting approximately 1700 to 2000 total attendees
Fees/Payments:
Q: What are my payment options?
A: Payment can be made by credit card, money order or wire transfer.
Q: Can I make a partial payment?
A: Yes, you can participate in the Payment Plan which entitles you to pay ½ at time of registration, and ½ on March 8th. If you do this, please keep in mind that your registration will not be confirmed, nor will your lodging be booked, until full payment is received. A $50 charge will apply to all registrations with a payment plan.
Lodging:
Q: Where will our lodging be booked?
A: Your lodging will be booked at the Manchester Grand Hyatt – San Diego until we have filled those rooms.
Q: What is the hotel website?

Q: What is the suggested capacity per room?
A: Four adults maximum.
Q: How many rollaways or cribs are allowed in the rooms? What type of rooms will rollaways fit in?
A: Rollaways can only be placed in king rooms; Cribs can be put in King or double rooms.
Q: Do rooms have minibars or refrigerators?
A: All rooms have an empty refrigerator. There are no minibars in standard rooms.
Q: Do rooms have hairdryers and coffee makers?
A: All rooms have both hairdryers and coffee makers.
Q: What views do you have from the hotel rooms?
A: There is a City OR Harbor view. View can be requested, but is not guaranteed
Q: How many levels are in the hotel?
A: There are two towers – One tower has 40 levels and the other has 31 levels.
Q: Does the hotel have adjoining rooms?
A: Yes, there are a limited number of adjoining rooms. These have been set aside for families with small children. Adjoining rooms cannot be guaranteed. Single and double rooms can adjoin in any combination.
Q: Does the hotel offer handicapped accessible rooms?
A: Yes, these are close to the elevator.
Q: When you have two beds in a room – what size are the beds?
A: Two double beds
Q: When you have one bed in the room, is it a King or a Queen?
A: King bed
Q: Please provide a complete description of the Executive and VIP Suites:

Conference Suite: 780-sq.-ft. parlor with a dining / conference table for eight, large seating area, kitchenette, wet bar, workstation, Murphy Bed, high-speed Internet access (fees apply) and marble bath. Connecting 340-sq.-ft. bedrooms include one king or two double Grand Beds fitted with sumptuous linens and down duvet over pillow-top mattresses, and full baths. Enjoy the deluxe amenities of these welcoming downtown San Diego hotel accommodations, such as Portico bath products, plush robes, coffeemaker and daily newspaper delivery
VIP Suite: 700-sq.-ft parlor with large sitting area, formal dinning for eight, kitchenette, wet bar, refrigerator, workstation featuring high speed internet (fees apply), and marble bath. Each connecting 340sq.-ft bedroom includes one king or two double beds. Regency suite includes access to the private regency club floor and lounge.
Amenities: wet bar, separate sitting area, hairdryer, 24-hr room service, coffee maker, cable/sataliteTV channels, ihome alarm clock/radio, dual line phones w/voicemail, dataport, individual aircondition/heat controls, windows that open, video checkout, morning newspaper, crib upon request, no rollaways permitted in room w/2 double beds, kitchenette, robes, iron/ironing board, minibar, 25inch or higher TV, video on demand, 3 or more wireless telephones w/speaker phone, concierge during regular hours, in-room safe, rollaways upon request, maximum 4 guests per room, 24hr fitness center.
Q: What are the check in and check out times?
A: Check-in – 3 pm / Checkout 12pm
Note, that if you are not checked out in time, the hotel will charge your card for an extra day. Please be sure to check out in a timely manner. The hotel will be happy to hold your luggage once you have checked out, and prior to your departure.
Q: Is there an additional cost for early arrival?
A: No cost for early arrival, but cannot be guaranteed - requested only
(Note: any late departure charges will be billed directly to the attendees as an incidental expense)
Roommate Pairing:
Q: I would like to pay a double room rate, but don’t know of anyone to room with. Will you pair me with someone?
A: We strongly suggest that you find someone from your center to room with at the event. However, if you are unable to, we can place you in a pool for roommate pairings. During the week of March 15th, we will pair you with someone of the same gender and exact arrival and departure dates.
Please note that if we are unable to match the exact arrival/departure dates, you will be responsible for paying the single rate for any days you occupy the room alone.
If you request a roommate, who is not booked by March 15th, we will automatically place you in the Roommate Pairings pool.
NOTE: If you prefer to be at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, and not an overflow venue, then you must designate a roommate as quickly as possible. Only completed registrations will be submitted to the hotel.
Other Activities:
Q: Will you have pre-arranged tours/activities?
A: There will not be any pre-arranged tours or activities. There are many local attractions. See the hotel website for more information.
Q: Will there be a program for children offered? What does it cost?
A: There will be a Kids Camp during Passover for children 4 to 12 years of age. There is no additional cost. Your registration confirmation includes a Kids Camp Form. Please complete that form and fax it back prior to the event to ensure a space is held for your child(ren).
Travel/Transportation:
Q: Are you offering group air reservations? If so, who do I contact?
A: Attendees are responsible for booking their own travel.
Q: What is the closest airport?
A: San Diego International Airport – approximately 15 minutes
Q: Does the hotel offer an airport shuttle? If not, what are airport transportation options and costs?
A: Shuttle Services:
There are shuttle services available at the airport for an approximate cost of $8.00 per person each way. The hotel express shuttle is only available with reservations and at certain times- please call: 1-800-900-7433 or 619-591-0303 for more information on the hotel express shuttle.
Taxi:
A taxi is approximately $11-$15 from the San Diego airport.

Q: What is the cost for parking?
A: $22 per day for self parking and $32 for valet parking
