New Beginnings
March 12th, 2013
Each month, the New Moon provides an opportunity for a new beginning, giving us a chance to set our course for the next thirty days. Our consciousness and actions at the start goes a long way toward determining the end result. After all, the healthier the seeds, the more potential there is for a bountiful harvest.
Forget Thyself
March 12th, 2013A great sage one said, “Before you can find God, you must lose yourself.”
Kabbalah teaches that we can receive all the happiness, joy, and fulfillment the Creator wishes to bestow upon us when we take up the spiritual work of becoming more like Creator, transforming our selfish nature into one that is selfless.
How To Have It All
March 4th, 2013A great kabbalist sage was once challenged to explain all the secrets of the Bible while standing on one leg. Without hesitation, he lifted his foot from the ground and said, “Love thy neighbor as yourself. All the rest is commentary.”
\This spiritual phrase contains not only all the secrets of the Bible, but of the entire universe. In fact, it’s our one-way ticket to all the joy and fulfillment the Creator intends for us to experience.
The problem is, we forget that living in this consciousness is actually for our own benefit.
Living Our Truth
February 25th, 2013We all wear masks.
None of us are 100% who we are 100% of the time. From faking a smile when we’ve had a really horrible day, to pretending to share with someone when we have ulterior motives, our masks are always hiding one thing: The truth.
Ego prevents us from living our truth. It will convince us that our mask protects us. But this false persona we put on to avoid getting hurt or feeling pain is the same one that block us from experiencing fulfillment.
The Best Advice
February 18th, 2013Why is it so much easier to see the solutions to other people’s problems than it is to find the answers to our own? It’s like driving a car. When we’re in our own vehicle, we can’t really see it. We don’t see the bugs on our headlights, or the dirt on our doors and wheels. But for every other car on the road, we see their dirt plain as day.
Learn the Lesson & Let Go
February 11th, 2013
Because the lunar year cycle begins at the start of Aries next month, this month of Pisces prepares us for a spiritual rebirth that can make way for new blessings. One powerful way to ready ourselves for this new beginning is by using the sensitive energy of this month to let go of our past, specifically those events in our lives that seem so unfair to us.
Being Real
February 11th, 2013Being real with each other is not an easy thing to do in a society that honors keeping up appearances, yet it is an important part of walking a spiritual path.
Through advertising, media and in many other ways, we are taught to be more concerned with how we appear or come across than how we really are. How often do people ask you how you’re doing, not really interested in listening to the answer? How many times do you answer, “Great!” flashing a big, unauthentic smile when in truth you’ve had a tough day, week, or even month?
Constant Evolution
February 4th, 2013Relationships matter.
From partnerships such as marriage to interactions with co-workers, our relationships matter to us a lot more than we realize. Think about it. Whether it’s our best friend, our mother-in-law, our grandma, or our mailman, relationships go a long way in determining our happiness on any given day. When our interactions are pleasant and peaceful, we are happy, but if there’s a conflict or we are upset with someone it can be like a dark cloud that hangs over us.
Mistaking Peace
January 31st, 2013Peace is not the absence of chaos, commotion, or challenges.
Peace is to be in the midst of those things while remaining calm with love in your heart
Believe In Each Other
January 30th, 2013Belief in each other is a powerful thing that can lift us above our self-perceived limitations.
The Creator believes in each of us, and has absolute certainty that we will reach our full potential. When we start to view others in this God-like way, we can bring the Light to whatever darkness they may be going through.
Once we believe in the Light that exists in others, that’s when we can really help them.
